Dr. Dann Austin with Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania was with us. The object of the conference was to help all who teach God's Word become more effective. Those who are teaching presently and those who may want to teach at any level were invited to attend. Dr. Austin brought one session on Friday evening to those in Church Leadership entitled "Leadership's role in Christian Education ". He reminded us of Paul's instruction to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2: And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. NKJV We were reminded that the mission of the church continues after each of us has gone from this life. In order for God's plan to be carried out until Christ returns, we must prepare following generations for service. That begins with proper instruction in His Holy Word. Four sessions were held on Saturday for teachers and those with a desire to teach. - Developing Teachable Moments
- Teacher Lesson Preparation
- Raising Motivation in the Classroom
- The Holy Spirit's Role in Teaching
There was a very good turnout for the conference and everyone was both blessed and challenged to greater service for Christ in teaching others. |
